In both winter and summer, Les Gets has a packed schedule of events to keep visitors entertained. Here are some of our favourite upcoming events in the area:
Passportes du Soleil Mountain Bike Event – 25th-27th June 2021
This summer Les Gets will host the 17th annual ‘Passported du Soleil’ event – it’s a mountain-bike ride ranging from 1000 to 2250m in altitude, in both France and Switzerland, where you can discover the fabulous Portes du Soleil MTB terrain and its grandiose scenery. The 80 km circuit uses 15 lifts. The trek takes one day, and participants can choose whether to ride it on Friday, Saturday or Sunday. It’s a relaxed event with the focus in taking part, rather than winning! The village will be buzzing with riders, merchandise and bike stalls and of course pop up beer tents.

Spartan Race 2020 – Trifecta Weekend – 2nd – 4th July 2021
We’re delighted that the Spartan Race is returning to Morzine for the 5th year running. Spartan events are a mountain twist on the classic tough mudder race; an endurance event that sees the town fill up with gnarly obstacle courses for competitors to complete in the fastest time possible. For adults, there are 3 different courses to attempt – the 5km ‘Sprint’, 21km ‘Beast’ and 50km ‘Ultra’. Hard core Spartans will attempt to complete all 3 distances in the one weekend – attaining the ‘Trifecta’! There’s also a kids’ race :> If you’re interested in entering, check out our blog and sign up for a race here. It’s also a brilliant spectator event – great atmosphere, food and merch stands and so many obstacles to watch!
Mountain Bike World Cup Finals – 2nd – 4th July 2021
Les Gets, in cooperation with the French Cycling Federation (FFC), has been selected to organise once again a round of the UCI World Cup in Olympic Cross-Country (XCO/XCC) and Downhill (DHI), on 02, 03 and 04 July 2021. The best XCO and DHI pilots will once again be on the slopes of Les Gets to compete in front of an enthusiastic public !
The XCO pilots will have one last opportunity to test themselves before taking off for the Tokyo Olympic Games! On the DHI side, the pilots will race on Mont Chery, on a redesigned track that will prove more technical and challenging than ever before!
