In both winter and summer, Les Gets has a packed schedule of events to keep visitors entertained. Here are some of our favourite upcoming events in the area:
Spartan Race 2020 – Trifecta Weekend – 21st-23rd August 2020
We’re delighted that the Spartan Race is returning to Morzine for the 5th year running. Spartan events are a mountain twist on the classic tough mudder race; an endurance event that sees the town fill up with gnarly obstacle courses for competitors to complete in the fastest time possible. For adults, there are 3 different courses to attempt – the 5km ‘Sprint’, 21km ‘Beast’ and 50km ‘Ultra’. Hard core Spartans will attempt to complete all 3 distances in the one weekend – attaining the ‘Trifecta’! There’s also a kids’ race :> If you’re interested in entering, check out our blog and sign up for a race here. It’s also a brilliant spectator event – great atmosphere, food and merch stands and so many obstacles to watch!
Passportes du Soleil Mountain Bike Event – 28th – 30th August 2020
This summer Les Gets will host the 17th annual ‘Passported du Soleil’ event – it’s a mountain-bike ride ranging from 1000 to 2250m in altitude, in both France and Switzerland, where you can discover the fabulous Portes du Soleil MTB terrain and its grandiose scenery. The 80 km circuit uses 15th lifts. The trek takes one day, and participants can choose whether to ride it on Friday, Saturday or Sunday. It’s a relaxed event with the focus in taking part, rather than winning! The village will be buzzing with riders, merchandise and bike stalls and of course pop up beer tents.

Mountain Bike World Cup Finals – 18th – 20th September 2020
After hosting stages last year (and drawing some of the biggest crowds ever seen at a World Cup!) Les Gets is back for 2020 to host the Downhill and X-country finals. An amazing spectator event that’s not to be missed! Here are some highlights from last year’s Elite men’s downhill stage:
